We are excited to announce that APN Marketing Central is now available in Simplified Chinese. If you are an APN Partner in China, or a global APN Partner with a presence in China, the assets available in APN Marketing Central can help you go-to-market with approved messaging from AWS. We have launched two new campaigns in Simplified Chinese—Big Data and Cloud Migration. APN Marketing Central is a benefit for all Standard-tier and above APN Partners and is available at no additional cost via Partner Central.

We are excited to announce a new Alexa Flash Briefing Skill for APN Partners. Adding this Alexa Flash Briefing Skill to your Alexa app lets you easily access weekly news, APN Blog posts, and event announcements for APN Partners. It’s a great way to stay up-to-date with the APN. Be sure to check in regularly for new updates and announcements for APN Partners. You can also create your own Alexa Flash Briefing Skills in the Amazon developer console.

As part of the onboarding process when joining the AWS Service Delivery Program, APN Partners must go through a technical audit of their experience delivering AWS services to end customers. This audit is conducted by internal technical experts who validate the APN Partner’s knowledge and capabilities for a specific AWS service. To help APN Partners better understand this process, we are introducing Validation Checklists that provide visibility into the criteria we use during an organization’s technical validation.

The APN Navigate Program provides a prescriptive path for APN Partners to build a specialized practice on AWS and deploy innovative solutions on behalf of customers. We have Navigate tracks for Blockchain, Contact Center, Database Services, DevOps, End User Computing, Financial Services, High-Performance Computing, IoT, Machine Learning, Microsoft Workloads, Migration, Serverless, SAP on AWS, VMware Cloud on AWS, and the AWS Managed Service Provider (MSP) Partner Program.

At the AWS London Summit, we announced the new AWS Machine Learning Competency Program for APN Consulting Partners. Launch Partners in this program have deep expertise and proven customer success in Machine Learning on AWS, and we are excited to showcase some of their stories. The AWS Competency Program helps customers identify and choose the top APN Partner for their AWS projects and workloads.

We are excited to announce the Horizon 7 virtual desktop and application platform is now supported on VMware Cloud on AWS. Architecturally, the Horizon 7 platform is the same on-premises as it is on VMware Cloud on AWS, so the deployment and management experience stays consistent across environments. Customers no longer have to purchase new hardware to launch or scale Horizon 7, and instead have the option of pay-as-you-go by leveraging VMware Cloud on AWS hourly billing.

We are excited to share three new how-to guides featuring best practices for creating and uploading architecture diagrams, case studies and customer references, and microsites. Each guide provides clear benefits to Partners for building these assets and explains why the APN asks for them in applications for AWS Service Delivery, AWS Competency, and AWS Managed Service Provider (MSP) Programs. The how-to guides also detail how the APN uses Partner-submitted documentation and gives a few examples approved by the APN.

At Hannover Messe 2018, the world’s largest trade show for industrial technology, we announced the AWS Industrial Software Competency Program will launch later in 2018 and help customers find highly qualified APN Partners to effectively solve their business challenges. Hannover Messe features insights from industrial thought leaders, as well as AWS product announcements in the Industrial IoT and Machine Learning spaces.

To help businesses gather feedback and understand the impacts they’ve had on AWS customers, we launched a “Rate this Partner” button in the AWS Partner Solutions Finder last year. The APN Customer Satisfaction program (CSAT) provides Partners with meaningful data that you can use to better understand your customers. Ask your APN representative if you have customer reviews already, and note that to unlock APN CSAT data you must have received at least 10 Customer Reviews.

For APN Partners helping customers migrate, manage, or deploy Microsoft Workloads to AWS, we are introducing an Application Modernization category within the AWS Microsoft Workloads Competency, as well as the Amazon EC2 for Windows Service Delivery designation. Through our Microsoft Workloads Partners’ investment in developing a Windows on AWS practice, we know customers will have an exceptional experience and the most efficient deployment running Windows applications on AWS.
