Really useful software for accurate visualization of product
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature of Simcenter 3D is how seamlessly it integrates all the layers of design and helps to visualize and edit the design easily. It brings alive an idea accurately.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside i can think of at the moment is that it requires specialized skills and knowledge to operate this software. However, with enough practice, this can be easily overcomed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping in designing a personal project I have been working on and is helping me progress in my journey as I can visualize the mistakes in my design through Simcenter 3D

Simcenter Seamless Workflow
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing every time I have to use Simcenter is that I don't have to open a second application with a different GUI and UX just to defeature and prepare geometry for analysis and motion simulations.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that sticks out to me about Simcenter is how FloEFD solver is integrated into Simcenter. Though this is very difficult, I wish that starting a FloEFD simulation started just like a fem/sim model. Where you could utilize the same .fem file as for other analyses. But I realize FloEFD's backend is very different.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simcenter helps us link initial conceptual designs early to analysis so that major improvements can be made early on. Preventing major rework of designs due to minor oversight. In the past, our simulations were done on standalone applications that did not carry the model tree over. If the analysis results do not meet the criteria using Simcenter with native NX parts allows for the analyst to make iterations to show the actual improvements made by design recommendations, prevent a hold where designers had to update geometry and then resubmit it to the analysts just to experiment on design improvements.
user experience review
What do you like best about the product?
Integration with NX, and linkage to other products
What do you dislike about the product?
CAD-based data model seems too heavy. Performance may be an issue, specifically for huge models or models with lots of load cases
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Generating FE meshing from NX and solve and assess FE models
Simcenter 3D
What do you like best about the product?
AI video creation platforms often offer features such as text-to-speech and multilingual support, allowing users to create videos in different languages. This is particularly beneficial for global businesses or content creators targeting diverse audiences.
What do you dislike about the product?
The software includes powerful design optimization tools that enable users to automatically explore and optimize their designs. It allows for the definition of design objectives, constraints, and parameters, helping users find optimal solutions and improve product performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simcenter 3D utilizes external solvers for performing simulations, such as Nastran or STAR-CCM+. While this allows for powerful analysis capabilities, it also means users may need to manage licenses and dependencies on these solvers separately, potentially adding complexity to the overall simulation workflow.
Great 3D modeling software
What do you like best about the product?
Creating, modifying or testing 3D models is easy and done through a nice and easy to understand UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Appears to be very expensive (still using an evaluation version)
- Sometimes, performance can vary and is sometimes "sluggish"

Simcenter 3D helps model out 3D models.
Healthy experience with Simcenter 3D as a beginner
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful part was that it is all happening in a single environment, without much changes in the UI, so learning the tool becomes much easier. And given that there are many solvers integrated and also that the software makes experimenting easier, learning the concept also becomes much faster. The tool is very user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The occasional bugs in the software might disturb the flow of work. Also, since the software is vast, learning it thoroughly or learning to simulate multiphysics problems might take some time. While some modules/solvers have excellent documentation and learning resources, others hardly have any learning resources, which could be a problem from a beginner's perspective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simcenter 3D solves a variety of physics problems, but the main problem it solves as a tool is reducing the loss of data and saving the time that might frequently occur when the files are being transferred from one software to another. And it solves it simply by being a solution where all the features of a typical CAE process are combined into a single environment rather than using multiple solutions for various stages of the CAE process. This benefits me a lot because I no longer have to learn multiple software to complete one simulation, and I am fully in control of the entire CAE process. Rather than depending on a person for one particular stage of the simulation process, I can do it all at my own pace.

The Simcenter 3D experience...
What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most is the CAD Integration, Simcenter 3D seamlessly integrates with popular computer-aided design (CAD) software, allowing users to import CAD models directly into the simulation environment. This feature simplifies the process of setting up simulations by preserving the design intent and reducing manual effort. It enables engineers to perform simulations on complex and detailed CAD geometries without the need for time-consuming model reconstruction.
What do you dislike about the product?
The complexity and learning curve, because Simcenter 3D is a comprehensive simulation software suite with a wide range of features and capabilities. As a result, it can have a steep learning curve, especially for users who are new to simulation or lack experience in using advanced engineering software. Training and familiarity with the tool may be necessary to leverage its full potential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simcenter 3D is solving my design optimization problems, Simcenter 3D helps engineers optimize product designs by simulating and analyzing their behavior under various operating conditions. It enables them to identify potential design flaws or weaknesses early in the development process, leading to improved product performance, reliability, and efficiency.
