  • April 01, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Easy Installation Process
- Declarative Approach
- User Interactive
- Combo of Version Control, Merging and deployment
- Integration Capabilities
- Lightening mode.

Flosum provides you with some of the exceptional customer services and they are so helpful that you can ask for it anytime. They have also approval process where each developer can change their code by getting the latest code, push source code, send for approval, once the manager approves it, it will be ready to deploy also it also simplifies the deployment process, by providing an option to create a pipeline for deployment in multiple salesforce organization. We can validate the deployment, analyze the changes in the deployment and can even rollback the deployment, All in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Nothing so far but Enhanced documentation would be a plus to help with set up or make it more accessible.
- Also Version Control for documentation
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Before Flosum we had different environments that we deployed the metadata to so all could be tested - this is gone now.
- Version controlling was an issue which got resolved now
Makes developer life easier
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just wanted to have the documentation version control to be included as well that would be more convenient and will truly reflect the meaning of "All at the same place"

Best Release Management Tool for Salesforce

  • April 01, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1. The best tool for doing inbuilt release management in Salesforce.

2. Easy to install, configure in Salesforce environments and no need to use other external tools for code versioning.

3. Developers and Approvers can easily collaborate on the code changes along with approval processes and code change coloring.

4. Inbuilt deployment pipeline creation and CICD support.

5. Automatic / manual snapshot creation representing the metadata changes on a regular basis.

6. The best feature is that the code is 100% secured which is the case that companies has to face when they use external tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is still scope to introduce new features for the tool compared to other external tools but for now there is nothing much to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We always had the problem of securing the code while storing in external code versioning tools which got solved with Flosum.

We don't need to train new Salesforce developers in the team anymore on the code versioning using Flosum.

  • April 01, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Working in a multitenant architecture with no native release management system is something that most of Salesforce developers have to fight with. Flosums is the best tool so far that overcomes this very lag.
Easy to install and configurable across sandboxes. Other DevOps tools requires lots of configuration as well as training to get started but on the other hand Flosum can be setup using simple point and clicks.
Perfect solution to sync your sandboxes.
First cloud based version control tool that supports 100% of Salesforce component types and meets all of the unique needs of the environment intuitively
Flosum integrates with all requirement management tools including Jira which is the most useful thing.
It gives the impact of your code changes on the test classes that you've written and hence play an exclusive role in maintaining your code coverage.
It's merging capability to merge all salesforce component is something that we can't do using Git or any other version control.
Along with that since it merges code using XML an orderly comparison has been achieved throughout your orgs and hence can save lots of your time.
The biggest deal that Flosum offers is the backup and restore plans for your production application.
Quality of support is 100%
It's 100% secure and that's the most important one.
I ran into multiple questions related to the product and the team got back with efficient support and knowledge transfer
What do you dislike about the product?
Lightning components is one of the most important components and Flosum's inability to add it in version control is something I feel is missing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Version Control is one of the biggest deal while working in Salesforce. Using Flosum , the process is seamless now since it's very easy to install and saves lots of your time and effort.
Code conflicts in multiple orgs is another challenge. It's easy code merge capacity helped us to sync orgs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's the best native release management system so far and is solution to many problems regarding deployments , code coverage and code review.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Flosum has enabled Continuous Integration and release management for our Salesforce org. It provides the ability to quickly and easily compare , Deploy and Rollback changes between Org.

It also support Impact analysis. You can see the difference in source and target org data in one screen and a you can do the changes if needed.

Bonus part of this tool is static code analysis. it's similar to Apex PMD.

All these functionality takes place on the force.com platform native (100% secure) and Available directly within the Salesforce UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly don't have much to say in regards to things I dislike. Everything looks good to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool is one of the greatest efficiencies in my daily routine release management. Instead of manually using change sets in Salesforce and having to select each item through an overly complicated user experience, flosum makes it simple to perform metadata comparisons, validation, deployments and rollbacks. Flosum has allowed my team to develop robust devops process and a more successful and stress less Salesforce Release management cycle.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

Flosum, that makes Release Management Easier for our company

  • March 31, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We re a company that is working on Salesforce Development, 12 Developers/Admins , 2 QA, and e few Business analysts in different locations of the world. At the first stage, we were using another Release management tool, but to be honest it is not working as we need. The release management solution is the Version Control System, which works to maintain a central source of truth for all code versions. It is very critical such as us separated in different counties and timezones.

Unlike Git-based version control systems, which make keeping these environments in sync very complicated, Flosum makes the
process extremely simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems nothing. To be honest, we are using Flosum for a long time, but there is nothing to declare as dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Merging changes can become extremely time-consuming with Git-based version control systems because they weren’t
intended to handle certain Salesforce specific components.
