Great Collaboration for Cross-Functional Teams
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart is a great tool for a few things: building quick wireframes, concept sharing, and design critiques. The advantage of Lucidchart is that it allow everyone in your company to view the work you've produced whereas applications like Illustrator or Sketch requires your coworkers to purchase a license, and they don't have any online sharing capabilities. I've had project managers, VPs, developers, and designers chime in on design sessions to hear various feedbacks. They can also review the contents separately on their own time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like Illustrator, Lucidchart is a heavy tool. Lucidchart isn't native. It's built to be accessible through the web so it's convenient and available on any device so long as you are comfortable with your viewing/working device. Because of this dependence on the web, Lucidchart requires your computer to continually process on RAM (I believe). It takes a toll and slows down your development. Use it wisely. Don't dive too far into detail with this tool. One other thing is that it takes a while to load your file. I've had moments where it took hours to load something and continuously fail to project anything. That's why I'm sometimes frustrated at the application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Like I mentioned above, it saves time and money because only a few license is necessary to enable collaboration & execution of design work. The sharing ability allows cross-functional teams to effectively communicate feedbacks & solutions with one another and a good rate of time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a pretty useful tool for charts, workflows, quick ideas and sharing but do not use it to create Hi-Fi wireframes. It will not be worth your time.

Great for creating Org charts or work flows
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use when putting together charts. Using Microsoft Office products to do the same thing can be frustrating and difficult. Very easy to share projects with co-workers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have yet to find something I dislike with this application. LucidChart has a narrow focus on what it would be useful for but what it does do it does very well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to update and create organizational charts. Great for diagramming business processes.
Useful tool for company flow charts.
What do you like best about the product?
This product is much easier to use for company workflow charts than Excel. We can design good organization charts on the fly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Moving or changing information can get bogged down. I have had to start over when connecting lines become tangled.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Lucidchart to document our company organization charts for auditors. The process lets me update the charts when changes are made. The charts are stored and archived by date, so I can access a chart for review.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This product is easy to use and learn. You can produce a good chart on your first try with the product.
Lucid Chart
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to create different diagrams and then share them
What do you dislike about the product?
I would prefer to use the beta version, since it seems to work faster.
The login experience is horrific
The login experience is horrific
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use to created user flows and site maps. It allows me to present and understand the structure of the systems I am trying to design
Lucidchart is great for organizing and visualizing information
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart makes it easy to visualize your data and processes. I love it most for creating visual content for presentations. It's easy to save documents as images, PDFs, and transparent images as well. It's also very intuitive and comes with some nice templates to get you started. As a cloud solution, it's easy to share your documents and collaborate with colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's honestly nothing I dislike about it. I gladly dropped Visio and switched to Lucidchart.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart helps me organize and visualize information. I use it to create timelines, swim lane diagrams, and flow charts for presentations and project plans.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Absolutely recommend it!
Easy to Use Process Mapping Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use. Making flow charts is very simple
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish you could break a chart into two separate images for more easy insertion into a Word doc
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Process mapping is a huge deficiency where I'm at.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's much easier to use than Visio and much more intuitive
Good Cloud Based Diagramming App
What do you like best about the product?
I like the built in diagramming features and shapes. It made it really easy to diagram intuitively without having to use learn a new set of icons. The drag and drop editing was really straight forward and easy to use as well, and the ability to share with other and edit simultaneously was a huge bonus. The direct integration with Google Drive was also a bonus as this is my cloud storage solution of choice.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not like the limited functionality of the free version. As I started using the software more and more, I got less and less function over time. This could have been remedied by switching to a paid account, but I found another solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was diagramming workflow processes that had never been diagrammed before. We were able to use this tool to begin diagramming all of the steps in our processes with decision points, and their complexity, and then begin streamlining and eliminating steps.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great cloud diagramming tool. I prefer it to others like Vizio for this reason. Real time collaboration is a huge benefit especially when looking at processes that involve many people and/or departments. I also used the project in college for programming and database projects. In the end I ended up going permanently with Google Draw, since I'm a part of a G Suite company, and this software is included with our G Suite platform. I do miss the ease of use of Lucid Charts since it is designed specifically for diagramming / wire framing and not an open ended set of uses.
Used to make flowcharts and simple infographics
What do you like best about the product?
I like having example templates to browse and potentially copy and then work from. As a new user, it was important to see example works, to see the range of possibility with the tool. I like that I can save my drafts online, and that it is a web-based product.
What do you dislike about the product?
The shape and customization options are not as robust or flexible as a vector graphics program, or even simple presentation slide software. The default shapes and lines to choose from seem outdated, like from a Windows 95 program. It could be refreshed to attract users with more aesthetic/marketing needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in medical research and use flowcharts and conceptual diagrams to visualize research concepts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out but don't spend too much time. If it doesn't work for you, I recommend using a familiar presentation slides software, if collaboration is not a requirement for production.
Lucidchart makes process mapping fun!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to create google slides for presentations. This feature allows me to show certain aspects of a process to a specific audience in full screen rather than the entire map.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found a way to resize multiple shapes after adding or deleting a shape.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visually representing operations across our enterprise allow us to ensure regulatory compliance and improve efficiency and consistency.
