Great options for creating visuals and share with a team

  • May 28, 2025
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The options to collaborate with a team and the large number of templates and Shapes.
The import options are helpful as well and save time.
It is very easy to create visuals and illustrations any time I have a customer call and find visuals to be a better way to send a message and make a point.
The integration with Gmail is also great and useful instead of exporting every time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The import options are very helpful, but sometime I want to create many items of the same shape and just paste the names and the only option is for sticky notes.
Additionally, the templates sometimes are very specific, but I need to make to many changes to use them the way I want
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating visuals for documentations and customers, as it helps get customers on the same page and show value and process much faster, as well when describing architecture in documentation

Lucid Review: Enhancing Product Design Through Intelligent Diagrams and Prototypes

  • May 28, 2025
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Lucid for various tasks in my work, including the creation of flowcharts, which are especially useful for analyzing how our databases interact with each other and for developing improvement proposals related to the backend.

In addition, we use templates to run certain agile ceremonies, such as retrospectives or planning sessions, by using the sticky note and brainstorming features. In some cases, we also use it for simple prototyping to visualize what our product might look like.
I like the ease of use and the fact that I can be quick re-using existing templates

These are the three features I like the most. Of the three, my favorite is the agile ceremony functionality, because I am a product manager.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have a real complaint about Lucid itself, except for the fact that, as a product manager, I am sometimes required to use different tools. So, when Lucid was introduced, I experienced a short period of adaptability cost. However, this was quickly absorbed thanks to the materials and training provided by the Lucid team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
works really well when working with remote teams, it is easy to access, follow and modify

What do you dislike about the product?

Great collaboration tool

What do you like best about the product?
There are so many different templates, it's live editing which works great for teams (we can work from different places and still work real-time together). We use it at least a couple times a week, if not every day. Pretty easy to figure out if no one teaches you how to use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's hard to remember which page (chart vs spark) has which features, so I'll spend time looking for the wrong thing on the wrong page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps us organize our thoughts and research into one document, which then leads us further along our process of either creating our plan, building assets we need, etc. It's the first step in the process, so using Lucid to accomplish that first step is helpful.

    Consulting

Use Lucid for setting up high level architecture diagrams to support a client.

What do you like best about the product?
Pretty easy to set up process flows and have my team make edits simultaneously to the same breakout board while in brain-storming sessions.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first the breakout boards section is confusing to me on how to navigate to different ones from the home screen. Also, we accidentally set up two workspaces, and I wanted to copy a breakout board from one workspace into the other, but there was not a simple way to do that. Instead I had to copy everything, then paste into a new board in the desired workspace. That worked out just fine, but would've been cool to import a given breakout board from one workspace to another.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Illustrate high-level architecture for a client's DevOps team. The ability to create easy-to-read diagrams with appropriate colors and connecting dependencies, and to be able to export into a pdf and share with the client led us to utilize Lucid.

What do you dislike about the product?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping the whole organization like us to work collaboratively on single process/document

Great UI, Easy to Learn/Use Effectively

  • May 27, 2025
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and tools are definitely much better than the competition. I tried a few different products in my diagramming projects and Lucid was the most comprehensive and easiest to use. Being able to utilize actual icons from the associated companies (Oracle, Google, etc.) was a huge plus, adding a visually validating flow of my efforts that made sense for my client audience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like the background grid to be something that I could snap to the center of my objects. When I am drawing out the diagram, sometimes it is difficult to see whether or not I am utilizing the appropriate spacing. The visual keys that pop up are nice and make it useful, just not as easily done with the naked eye when the grid is a bit off. Being able to snap it to my objects (or vice versa) and adjusting the grid size would be nice (this may be possible but I had not been able to find the feature). I think there could be some improvements on the ability to copy the style of objects to others. Objects with multiple colors and having only one of the colors be editable doesn't really align with our own company theme since it chooses an uneditable complimentary color automatically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to effectively diagram our technical architecture utilizing the icons native to the associated parent companies makes for a visual easily followed by clients.

Easy, Intuitive way to visualize workflow

  • May 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use that Lucid Chart provides with its interface makes it our go to visualization tool. It integrates really well into Confluence which is our documentation tool, making it easy for the company to quickly understand the topic in hand. Lucid charts lets us implement various feature workflows. Various teams can come together in order to collaborate on a topic and bounce ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
Recently I came across the issue of licensing limitation where I would have to request a read/write access license instead of a read-only one. I would expect for corporate licenses, every user by default gets a license so that it doesn't delay the process or create a hurdle while defining charts or workflows
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most of the times we need a visualization tool to better explain the software workflow of a new process that needs to be implemented. Lucid Chart lets us quickly put that on a chart and share that with the team as well as let others collaborate on the same page to come up with the most agreed upon solution.
