Easy to configure, APIs, SDKs with easy to understand documentation
What do you like best about the product?
- Very fast search results, no matter how many filters
- Multi query support to get as many response data objects without sending extra API calls, results in page speed optimization
- Easy to integrate on the client-side or the server side
- Easy to Configure the Searchable attributes, Faceting, Sorting mechanism from the Dashboard

What do you dislike about the product?
- Manually Writing Query, Maybe a UI based Query Builder in the Dashboard can be helpful which can filter the records on the go and we just copy the code and use it in the application logic
- There should be a way to rename the replica indices without detaching from the primary index
- There should be a way to take a backup of Configuration/Data of complete APP in Single Click

Listing and Searching a large number of records with a complex set of dynamic filters on the UI.

Blazing fast and feature rich
What do you like best about the product?
Algolia is extremely easy to integrate and the search results are surfaced amazingly fast
What do you dislike about the product?
lack of a "null" search capability, while I understand it, is sort of a bummer
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're trying to search through thousands of records with varying degrees of "completeness". Searches can be on any combination of the attributes of the records in the index.
Algolia allows us to perform these sorts of searches and integrate them directly into our platform with very little lift.

Nothing really. But could be simpler to get search suggestions.

Index are redundant sometimes if you are new to the app and not very tech savy

Product suggestions, auto-complete, and autocorrect functionalities are amazing, most of the issues on websites that I have managed are from the user misspelling, not knowing the name or want some suggestions, this UX is amazing
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is very easy to configure or have someone to configure it, once it's done you just sit back and relax, sales will go up on your site because users will not be frustrated not finding the item or variant they are looking for

The pricing model is based on search traffic, so it's hard to give an off-the-cuff pricing estimate.

Nothing to declare to my point of view, everything is very clear.

Making complex research with multiple fields in a database
Do not use! Still taking money for months after requesting it be cancelled

Nothing, it has been a horrendous experience and still continue to take money despite cancelling months ago and trying to contact them multiple times

Their customer service is non existent and have been continuing to take money for months and refuse to answer emails or action what's been requested.

I risk like the cost. At $1000 a month it is quite expensive investment

Our users don't spend a lot of time on our website so we are maximizing their time for conversion

It is expensive but the increase in sales we've seen is worth the cost.
API Monitoring of our Boyce Application Clusters with Algolia
What do you like best about the product?
Algolia is a powerful API-based search engine that is capable of processing our search queries and giving its results on a quick real-time basis. It implements a tie-breaking algorithm for a comprehensive comparison of our record items. It offers top-notch transparency while working with our records, and its search engine is capable of handling high-end search provisions for our demands.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm satisfied with the end-to-end search solutions offered by Algolia. It gives me excellent UI experience while working with its SAAS platform. Its configuration is also simple, and no prior experience is required to begin with Algolia.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Algolia is helpful in API monitoring activities for our Boyce's E-commerce application clusters which is not easily accessible with regular API clients. It builds and redefines our search patterns based on our application end-user interactions, and its analytics provides accurate and consistent feedback. We can also restrict our search based on the set of indices we define and implement changes in our front-end code. The primary API key is generated on the Boyce application server, and they are secured through its superb API endpoint security features.

Deleting or modifying existing records is not that easy, also documentation regarding the same is not very straightforward.

I used algolia to add seach feature to documentation of an upcoming VueJs component library, and also used it on a webapp involving team recruitment, to make projects added by users searchable by others.

If you are looking for a simple and effective search solution for your application, go for it.
