What do you dislike about the product?
There is literally nothing I can think of. Algolia fits 100% with our use case and fulfills our all the requirements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using Algoli as a primary internal search engine in one of our projects, And we need Insights into what people are searching for the most. Algolia does an excellent job solving this problem for us and provides us with valuable insights.

A “unicorn” with zero customer support. Lol
What do you like best about the product?
The product itself is excellent- when it works.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no customer support, so when things go wrong you wait days for a response. Also their billing platform is buggy af, and has no notifications. So your service can be cutoff without warning, even when it's their fault for lack of adequate error detection systems.
It would be fine if there was a support team to swiftly respond and resolve issues, but there isn't, so lack of infrastructure and lack of support is a double whammy.

Search and Recommendation for users, obviously. Improve product discovery, shorten time to checkout.

The most powerful internal search engine
What do you like best about the product?
Query rules in Algolia allow you to improve the relevancy of results. Instant search provides fast results to the users. You can build multiple indices and facets, providing multiple options for admin users to implement merchandising strategies around profitability.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you have a large number of SKUs in your product catalogue, it can take quite a while for Algolia to index all the product data. The premium plans is quite expensive as well if you have less than 400 orders a month.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Algolia enables e-commerce retailers to control the merchandising of their products better. Creating rules is easy in Algolia. The platform has multiple options and variables that can be used to create those rules.
Developer-friendly but also has Non-Developer capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
The robustness of the indexing, particularly the synonyms. Analytics are precise and manual adjustments to common searches is literally drag and drop. The ability to tweak your algorithm as you view analysis is unique to Algolia.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up the initial indexing does take some time and developer know-how, but it is a manageable task for most developers who are familiar with your technology stack.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have both a product index for ecommerce as well as a large database of locations and Algolia allows us to keep those indexes separate to manage the rank of the results, but we can also combine them for a mega search experience.
Algolia for the quick Search capabilitiess for new Startups
What do you like best about the product?
Quick onboarding, minimal tech implementation for integration and ease of usage, alongside providing a cleaner support for the Ops and Configuration teams for enhancing the search results.
What do you dislike about the product?
Enterprise license is a lot more powerful and Algolia lacks in providing strong Foundational support for an early or non-enterprise licenses, this impacts the search quality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A very strrong Search implementation usig Algolia without investing too much on nitty gritties and ES/Solr impkementaion, helped invest energies rightly and help Ops with right configutaions support
I would recommend Algolia for friends and colleagues, as my experience was absolutely wonderful
What do you like best about the product?
The back office especially is easy to handle. Also, there is an academy for beginners who want to level up their skills :)
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say that there are some points to review rather than things that i dislike about Algolia. Until now, the tool is really helpful and brings excellent data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Algolia solves problems related to search and data, but also problems regarding the search speed. In my job, that is really important to have access to this data, and help users use the search bar in a correct way.
Flexible and easy to integrate API/SDK, powerful tool with good support
What do you like best about the product?
Algolia offers a modern alternative to search functionalities with easy indexing, good documentation, and typo tolerance. A significant benefit of it is that you can use it for everything and implement it with most, if not all, popular coding languages. If your project is written with PHP, JS, or even React, you can quickly pick it up and create endless possibilities. I like that it allows me to work with PHP and have the option to create UI components rapidly. Another benefit of Algolia is the huge community of developers who can help you if you struggle with something, just jump into the Algolia community forum and ask, or even tag some Algolia Team members - they're always happy to help you as long as you describe your issue properly and provide details where you stuck.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there aren't many things that I dislike, although a recent change in the Dashboard UI made some options more difficult to access than the previous UI/UX revisions.
If you're working on some demo project, the trial will be enough, but if you start using it in some big project, your bill might be an issue, but if your website/project generates good revenue, this should pay for itself.

Helps with providing users with the best User Experience during search interaction on the main website and allowed us to handle a lot of queries with different sets of filters as well as sorting and suggestions behind the scene.
Algolia helped replace native WordPress search and allowed me to expand it with our main search database to provide users with product suggestions based on the typed text on a company blog, which one place a big part for us.

Algolia Product Review

> Configurations - To configure the search logic by different attributes.

> AB Testing - Algolia has inbuilt AB testing which weighs it high in the market and this helps the product managers to take the right decisions using the analytics features too.
> Analytics - The analytics feature in Algolia is quite decent with detailed information and this helps us to take certain decisions and make changes in the logic of search.

What do you dislike about the product?
> Relevancy - The relevancy of the results can be optimized much better in terms of the AI / ML / NLP tool to understand what the customer is exactly searching for and show accordingly.
> Expensive :-D yeah, it is quite expensive compared to the market and not all companies can afford the tool even if they want to.
> Customized Support: They can have dedicated account managers so that the Alogila team can analyze our integrations and performance and suggest us to use the tool to its max potential. Today this is not the case so we are probably not using it to the highest capabilities.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Algolia is helping our customers find the right products faster using Internal Search. In simple words for a physical store customers ask the sales assistant to find the right product, in eCommerce customers use the search option to find the products and that's exactly where Algolia is doing its job.
Algolia is a great internal search engine tool for big eCommerce platforms, it is one of the best tools in the market. The available features and configurations help the product manager to relevant search results to their customers. The best thing is the results are instant once the integration is done.

For what I used until now, I did not miss or dislike anything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed to offer an easy way for my users to find content on the platform. Algolia allowed us to do it. It was fast and easy to implement, a great experience, and affordable.
Awesome search as a service
What do you like best about the product?
The Algolia admin console is incredibly powerful - you can create indices with ease, custom rules for search results, custom field weighting, fuzzy matching and so much more.
The option to try for free is also very welcome!

What do you dislike about the product?
I've not found anything I'd describe as negative during my use of Algolia thus far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Algolia makes implementing performant search a breeze for JAMstack applications.
It's so simple to configure your indices, and specify priority fields and ordering rules - plus they have libraries/SDKs for many front-end/back-end technologies.
