SAP Review
What do you like best about the product?
It is a very robust piece of software and covers all aspects of business scenarios. It is also very easy to understand and configure. It also very customizable.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not keep up to speed with changes in the business environment. It also is not friendly for E-commerce.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I solve problems related to finance and sales. It enables me to smoothly make business transactions and conduct analysis.

S/4HANA - definitely worth the journey!
What do you like best about the product?
It's feature rich! We were on ECC - very custom system. We were able to go to S/4HANA and leverage the industry templates for a great percentage of our system. This allowed us to limit the number of RICEFW's that we created and will make our system MUCH easier to support going forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm a bit disappointed in the FI functionality which is supposed to be the most mature module in S/4. We've gone through several closes and always have OSS notes to apply for Material Ledger. I realize we are on an early version (1610-fp1) and so we expected to find bugs but as I said FI is supposed to be the most mature module we had expected better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefits are the rich functionality. We've realized benefits from the CDS views, Fiori and the flexibility of the configuration which eliminated much of the customization we did in the old version of ECC.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are doing a greenfield rather than a migration, leave enough time for the data conversion.
An amazing product but difficult to use and implement
What do you like best about the product?
SAP is a truly an ERP. It can be used across all departments and across all industries. Can extract real time data to make decisions. Is a great tool from planning to execution to recording data. The security is great. Can give access to users as they are needed. The new G/L feature is amazing. Basically you can keep one books of accounts for both standalone as well as consolidation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The software is extremely expensive and difficult to use. The transition from legacy software to SAP is not easy. You need lot of resources to support the system. Users need to give training to use the software. Sometimes you need to hire outside consultants to solve problems and queries. For some complex problems it can take days to find a solution. Sometimes the users find it complex to use and create mistakes. They don't know how to solve those and needs to go back to the manuals and you lose time in this process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All departments can use the same software. Everything is on one platform. Easy to download the data. All the data flows easily from one department to another. The sales and purchases can be recorded automatically through MIGO and MIRO. Great to handle tons of data. Keeps a track of who does what. Has great audit trail.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a great ERP software. It is very helpful for multinational companies spanning across different continents. The consolidation process is easy if you have subs in multiply countries and follow different accounting styles. The tax process and month end process becomes easy.
Pre-configured ERP product and very quick to implement
What do you like best about the product?
The speed of implementing S/4HANA projects. We were able to do a greenfield implementation of S/4HANA on premise system in close to 7 months. Also the Fiori capabilities are a real highlight for S/4HANA and they give a lasting experience to end users and also the mobile ready applications were easy to configure and readily available for users to use on their mobile devices like phones/tablets/desktops instantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Many public cloud solutions from SAP to consider and evaluate for business needs. Each have their own licensing constraints. Licensing is a tad confusing sometimes from SAP. Lots of integration options to consider and needs new skillset of developers to achieve an integrated ERP experience with all the cloud products from SAP.

S4 HANA for IBP integration
What do you like best about the product?
Hana - Integration capability with IBP without custom development, HANA database for seamless integration and speed. Consolidated MRP views with reduced MRP data fields and Integration with AGATP AND GATP with IBP
What do you dislike about the product?
More enhancements to real-time orders based integration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IBP Inventory optimization by integration with ERP system.

S/HANA make sure you have detailed plan laid out before implementation

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and I can use it for many different things for work. I also like the useful search function.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing I have used so far I don’t like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Transferring our old data to this system is easy. It streamlines our process to have one product number per product instead of many.
Hands down best ERP software available
What do you like best about the product?
Everything. It does everything well. I have no complaints. After using several other ERP systems, this one has been the most suitable for my needs so far.
What do you dislike about the product?
The quality does come at a price. Other vendors were more budget friendly, however this was well worth the initial cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloud integration and migration was seemless.

Don't even think about other ERP software. This is what you need. Easy of use. User interface. Couldn't be made better. Pricey, but well worth the money. Going to another product just because it's cheaper won't save you time or money.

The best digital core for developing your systems of engagement. Faster in-memory database. Simplified business processes for digital age.

HANA database pricing structure makes it expensive if you have too much unstructured data

Native analytics for business transactions. Simplified table structure makes enhancements easy to develop and maintain

What do you like best about the product?
Transitioning to SAP from our legacy system has been generally seamless. SAP requires less “steps” to complete most processes, which ultimately saves time.
What do you dislike about the product?
SAP can be picky. For example, if you accidentally press enter too soon you will have to start over.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SAP saves time! It is also very compatible with copying and pasting mass amounts of information.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend SAP.
