Incredibly versatile, Completely Indispensable

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is an amazingly versatile tool, and it brings the power of relational databases into both technical and non-technical users hands. I have many favorite things about Airtable, but for the purpose of this review, I will admit it to just two: automations, and linked records.

Linked records are perhaps the most important feature of Airtable. They are the backbone of a relational database, and the execution that Airtable employs is the best that I've seen for a consumer-facing product. It makes the process of keeping your data together, and related, simple, and easy. And then, once your data is linked, it opens up a whole world of possibilities with things like roll ups and look ups. It's an amazing feature.

Automations are close second. This functionality in the air table effectively brings your app to life, and makes it a real, living, breathing application. It allows you to make your app behave according to rules that you define, and allows your data to interact with other apps and services outside of Airtable. Automations can serve as the bridge between your data and external apps, making it even more useful.

I highly recommend Airtable for people who want to have a single source of truth for their collected data.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are many, many things that I like about Airtable, and only a few that I don't. When you become an Airtable power user, you start to notice the limitations of some of the core functions of Airtable. For example, while the formula field is one of the most powerful in the app, the formulas that you can use in it are somewhat limited, especially compared to something like Microsoft Excel.

Further, there seem to be some arbitrary limitations built into Airtable that just don't make any sense to the end user. For example, in automations, you can currently only use a repeating block or a conditional block and not both. This makes no sense to me, and I wish that you could use them in combination with each other, which would make the whole application even more powerful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable solves a number of problems for our organization, but perhaps the most significant is having an easy to use and accessible source of truth for critical data that is used by multiple parties in our organization. While there are many ways to centralized data, Airtable makes it really easy to get that data to other downstream parties in a way that makes sense in their workflow.

A Tech-Savvy Tool for Project Management

  • April 29, 2025
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is amazing for coordinating scalable projects. It can be used singularly or in a group, and the features it offers allow for better organization and coordination.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think it's particularly easy to use due to all of its customizations. If you are very tech-savvy and know how to create very specific projects, it's great, but can be challenging for laypeople to use for relatively simple templatized tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable is helping us track spending, marketing plans, and track our yearly calendar

Airtable is powerful, flexible, and a little overwhelming!

  • April 29, 2025
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of bases, linked bases, and interface views for collaborators is a godsend. Non-technical team members can jump into work pretty quickly and easily, and keeping records up to date is intuitive. My team now uses it to manage a gnarly corpus of data, and we use it regularly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish creating attractive interfaces was more flexible, intuitive, and fast. Implementation and design of an instance is a pretty complicated thing, depending on the use case.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a database of information on a client deliverable that was previously managed across 25 separate word documents. Changes to one template needed to be made in all, and it was an unsustainable situation. Airtable has solved that problem and more.

Versatile access to data

  • April 29, 2025

What do you like best about the product?
I really like using Airtable to manipulate the data we store in our bases. Our organization uses different bases for different purposes -- CRM, social media planning, event planning, invoice management, and more. I primarily use it as a CRM database that keeps client information accurate and organized. I use it everyday and just started to use the AI Assistant that is built in to help me build dashboards for the data -- it was very easy to use and implement and I will be integrating the dashboard into my weekly meetings with my boss.
What do you dislike about the product?
While it is powerful and able to manipulate data, I find it difficult to create new worksheets and link cells to other cells in order to prevent the duplication and manual repetitive nature of data entry. The AI assistant needs to be better with processing plain language. While it was a great tool to easily create an invoice management dashboard, the AI Assistant wouldn't edit it after it was created and I had to do it manually. I would like an AI integration with Google Gemini as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable is helping provide visibility to our customer data, specifically our invoices in a manner outside of our financial management software. It also helps me maintain project and training schedules. I really like using the Kanban views to help me easily visualize specific data and change that data easily by moving it along the Kanban board.

Airtable -- attractive and easy to use

  • April 29, 2025
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to sort and group fields, create a number of different data tags, and find information quickly. The colors help find things easily, as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only real complaint I have with Airtable is with the automations. Perhaps I have not figured it out yet, but I would like to be able to receive an email detailing a change each time that it happens in a given table. As of now, it seems I can only receive an email alerting that something has been changed, but not what that thing is. This would be very helpful as we have multiple team members making changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable helps us with creating a living publication schedule that can be accessed and edited by multiple members of our team. It is easier to sort, search, and make changes than with our official internal systems. It has also been useful for creating trackers for various projects with many moving parts, which then also serve as an easily accessible database of past projects.

Favorite database and project management tool

What do you like best about the product?
Flexible data entry methods and types
Incredibly clean and intuitive interface
Continuous improvement from devs
Comprehensive platform to store all needed information
I really love the new password protected interfaces. Incredible idea I've been waiting for you to do.
Its very easy to access and I use it consistently
What do you dislike about the product?
The limitations of collaborators on paid plans. It's stingy that a coworker can not even have commenting ability without paying.
Security of information is a bit vague. I could use more information on your security measures.
Automations are a bit buggy or difficult to program. Is there a way to make it more intuitive? The AI system for automation is so unhelpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connecting multiple nodes of information in a fast, efficient, and informative way. There are many variables and interconnected aspects of my work, Airtable allows me to easily navigate them.

I use Airtable any chance I get

  • April 29, 2025
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
While we use WorkFront to track our work and tasks as a company, I use Airtable to track almost everything else and usually have the desktop open every day! I love how, once my data and tables are set up the way I want and need, Airtable is really easy to maintain.

I have recently been exploring the ways to connect different bases and tables together to keep the sources of truth for the data in the right locations but also be able to pull in the latest information.

There are already a few of us that really love and share my feelings for Airtable. Best believe we are trying to get more people to embrace the awesomeness that is Airtable!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times where I feel like I wish I could add the create a record form into more interface pages; it's also sometimes confusing on where I can and cannot add a create record form on interfaces.

I would also love to have more integration with WorkFront.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been able to use Airtable to track the various statuses and items (ie. SEO, phasing, which CMS platforms are used) for the over 40 or so event webpages I help manage.

I also have been able to use Airtable to successfully track an audit/fix process of over 2,000 web articles that needed various degrees of adjustments to get these older articles up to our current brand and web standards.
