Perfect decent

What do you like best about the product?
Pretty simple to use even if you're not tech savvy
What do you dislike about the product?
Missing some high-level capbilities, but still workable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simple solution
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You really need to access the needs of your team. It works great for me with small teams but I have not used for large teams under the Enterprise plan.

Asana for commercial cleaning

What do you like best about the product?
Asana gives us the ability to communicate with all levels of management. It allows us to find new and interesting ways to solve problems
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the structure of the projects can get a little confusing for newer users. Generally after a little bit of training and time using the product it gets easier
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has allowed us to affectively manage the projects that we have on a day-to-day basis. Instead of things getting lost in translation. Instead of things being forgot about. We have everything in one place

Simple -Point and click project/task management

  • July 29, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how simply it is to see/assign task (and subtask) to people in your org and group, and external consultants -which is another thing that makes it great --easy access sharing to projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times when the simple point-and-click features that I like about Asana, actually weigh down the task, and another (connected) tool / platform has to be used for detailed follow up from Dev teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a million Google docs and google sheets all over the place, with random notes on follow up / action items in random columns.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't look for Asana to solve all of your PM workflow issues if you work within in a diverse company/start up with cross platform needs (Biz Dev, talking to Tech/Engineering, etc). Its better than most point-and-click platforms,, but still not a great solution for heavy development tracking for tech based starts ups.

Excellent application

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is the ease of use and easy communication with my collaborators to manage the activities, constantly allows me to be active in my activities and assign my colleagues activities so that we can be synchronized almost instantly. The ease of creating profiles in the system is very good, although I would prefer to centralize the activation of users and not have to separate the pending activities by company views.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limited customization of notifications, I think it's something that can be improved, as well as the views to determine the most urgent activities, it would be good to include a way to prioritize activities so that we can give attention to the most important ones. Another point to improve is the possibility of marking progress on tasks; there are times when I can't finish an activity but it's at 75% and I have no way to indicate that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improvement in the assignment of activities, it is very good for keeping a record of what we have already completed, as well as keeping activities organized to know which one is due first.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is necessary to finish polishing the app's aesthetics and perhaps create a desktop version.

Great way to manage products

What do you like best about the product?
Asana really helps your team organize all of the projects that you are working on and provide deadlines and status updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
The amount of emails that get sent for every little update can get over whelming. They need to let you limit. Currently it's all or none
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides organization, project management and project tracking
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a really good basic project manager software. Definitely allows you to organzie all aspects of the projects that you are working on, deal out responsibilities, and create the deadlines necessary to get the project done. Only down side as I mentioned before is the project update emails. You can get 2 or 3 per project when responsibility is changed or if dates get changed.

Good app for project management

  • July 28, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Good for project management but not as seamless and funny to use as a MeisterTask or with as many powerups as Trello. Asana is generally used by a lot of my suppliers and that is why I use it. It has grown in terms of user functionalities and design and it is now much better. You can create projects, tasks, tasks groups, etc. You can do all kind of things inside the tasks such as attach documents, comment, set dates, responsible persons, tags, etc. The iOS app is a great app and you can do everything on the app that you can on the web. You also have a great calender view.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lacks the kanban board and the sexy and fun CX. Lacks also the Gantt chart view. It is not so fun to use as Meistertask and Trello.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To manage all kind of Projects with partners and clients. Generraly I'm invited to use the app by a supplier or client and I manage the entire project through the app. So that way you don't have to send e-mails or messages or call, you do everything on the app and that way it is easy to see the project satus and the tasks status. Also every comment and document of the project is easely find within the app on a search functionality. You can invite others to joint the project, give them tasks, etc. Is a great way to do it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You should give it a try. also consider MeisterTask and Trello

Asana

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can see the tasks that you are being assigned and mark them as they are completed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think Asana is a productive tool. My Director has to inform me through messenger of my tasks and I will finish them I hardly see anything in Asana. It isn't user friendly sometimes if fields are not correct on who can view them you won't be able to see things assigned to you. If anything Asana is a waste of time that needs to have some sort of integration and easier organizational tools for tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nothing really.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think it can be used as a simple reminder of the tasks that you need to discuss with your team. But if you aren't careful on how or who can view it things can be assigned to the wrong team or may not show up in the correct tabs.

Great Software For A Worldwide Team

  • July 28, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Everyone can see what needs to be done and is able to connect in order to be accountability partners when it comes to meeting deadlines.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some functions are implied, not exactly detailed. With some trial and error, you can figure things out, but it just takes a bit of time to get the feel for the little things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to connect with a team literally scattered around the globe, enabling me to pool my talent without having to relocate my entire life.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're talking yourself into limiting your dream because you can't find the right people near you, this lifts that worry. Asana makes it feel like the team is right there with you, even though they are on the other side of the globe. It's great for accountability as everyone can see calendars and tasks and connect quickly to keep the team on track.

Great ease of use!

  • July 27, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's intuitive and is really robust in features. Moreover, it doesn't force you to upgrade to use a number of its features and that's useful for me because I don't feel like I'm being cornered, especially for a small business owner like myself who is trying to keep costs low.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard view could be improved. I don't really care for how the dashboard looks at the moment. I'd rather see the tasks that are on hand or new notifications for chat. I'd rather the Dashboard function like the Inbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding an easy and affordable collaboration tool with chat and tasks has been hard and so finding Asana was great. Considering we are now working with a bigger team, it's very useful to have!

Easy to use, boosts productivity

  • July 27, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use Asana to track our projects - most projects follow a very similar path, and Asana provides a method to template projects, makeing it a snap to start tracking a new project. We hold weekly update meetings, and can quickly run down the list of open tasks. Having Asana as a mobile app allows our project managers to see progress while traveling, and actively during meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Training new team members in how to use Asana takes time - not everything is intuitive. The keyboard shortcuts are extremely helpful and powerful, but are hard for new user to pick right up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to track projects that don't fit into a traditional IT style project has been a huge help. We can now track both development projects and field work related projects in one place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're not sure if Asana is right for your company, sign up for the free level and use it to track personal projects, and get a feel for the app.
