Easy to navigate, very clear what is passing and what isn't.

Keeping everyone on track. Everyone knows what they are responsible for. Hub for security related tasks.

We would have been LOST without Vanta!
What do you like best about the product?
Do I have to pick just one thing?! In short, Vanta was able to simplify what is otherwise an extremely difficult project (especially for a company our size, about 75 people). Their employees are passionate and great to work with, from the very first call to handing off to a Customer Success Manager (CSM).
To explain in more detail, when we started the SOC II Type I Audit process we had no idea where to begin, and had previously spent 6-8 months attempting to complete things on our own, barely making any progress. As soon as we found Vanta, we immediately felt relief and confidence that we could complete the work required to pass our audit. The platform is easy to use, user-friendly, gives great insight into our high-priority risks, computers that need additional features, has a great email notification system for sending employees invites and reminders, and has very well thought out policies that allowed us to complete the work within a couple of months rather what I’m sure would have taken us more than a year. Our CSM met with us weekly to help us figure out where to start first, what to focus on each week, etc. and there is no way we could have completed this audit without them!

I can't think of a single critique, Vanta is worth every penny!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helps point out where our biggest security risks are, and points us in the direction to solve them, even down to the employee and device level. Vanta also helps us write and improve our security policies to continue improving our security posture. Because of Vanta, we were able to complete our SOC II Type I Audit in only a couple of months.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a platform that is easy to use, user-friendly, gives great insight into your high-priority risks, computers that need additional features, a great email notification system for sending employees invites and reminders, very well thought out policies, and to essentially take something as complex as a SOC II audit and simplify the work so it can be completed within a couple of months, all while working with an awesome CSM who helps as much as needed the entire way, Vanta is for you. I do not think we could have completed our audit without them!
Made the SOC2 process painless and easy
What do you like best about the product?
The entire process from creating and reviewing the policies, monitoring our cloud environment, code repository& addiotnal systems, together with collecting the evidence automatically was a huge offload. Bundled with great support before we started the process by Ashley and after we started it with Taylor was a great help.
What do you dislike about the product?
We experienced some minor issues with some cloud monitoring metrics, but they have all been addressed within days.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to get ready to the SOC2 audit within 6 weeks with significant less effort while still focusing on the business and customers, otherwise it could have been a full time work for a few months.
Best way to automate a lot of the SOC-2 work
What do you like best about the product?
First, you have a dashboard for most of your SOC-2 requirements.
Integrates well with GCP, GSuite, Slack, GitHub - essentially covering almost all requirements.
Good policy templates.
Audit prices drop too because of the automation.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only rough edges we noticed were around supporting many different GCP projects, but support is very helpful in working on fixing this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Very quick ramp up to getting ready for SOC-2 Type 2.
Vanta made security a breeze!
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta had a very tech forward platform and their continuous monitoring made going with them a simple decision. As Assembly is now Soc2, Vanta is a key part in our security journey. Their team was also amazingly kind, prompt and helpful every step of the way!
What do you dislike about the product?
I'll let you know when I find something I don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are an HR platform and every time we went out for new business, we'd be asked if we were Soc2 compliant. Not having compliance was a show stopper. Working with Vanta was fast, efficient and now we're winning business left and right thanks to Vanta.

Vanta is a no brainer. They are the best in the game. Why else would they be growing so fast!

What do you like best about the product?
One of the challenges of SOC 2 is coming up with the checklist of things that need to be accomplished. Vanta does this for you.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vanta does not integrate with enough services yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making the SOC 2 process easy to accomplish and track. It allows for you to have a centralized location to track your compliance and receive alerts when something is out of compliance.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are just beginning your compliance journey Vanta will set your company up for success. This allows you to gain a strong grasp on what is expected as well as insight into your organization that you have not had previously.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the reports and organization of the application is not intuitive. There are reports / actions to be taken on Company Settings for example. It is not easy to navigate and remember where the different sections are

Vanta helps in seamlessly covering all security requirements for a SOC2 evaluation in very little time. They have excellent Customer Support and they are constantly adding new technological partners to make the process a lot easier.

It is a great platform, no complains so far

Maintaining compliance with security requirements is extremely easy and Vanta provides a quick overview of the whole security posture to perform changes where necessary.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you add all infrastructure services to the platform when possible and check if they have partnered with other services to meet your needs.
The Easiest Way to Get Compliant
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta made it simple for us to start the process of getting SOC 2 Type 1 compliant when we were only 6 months old. As a result we feel far ahead of schedule, and 18 months later we're now using Vanta to go for our SOC 2 Type 2.
The product made it incredibly easy to automatically generate the documentation needed for the SOC 2 process. As a new/young company, we were able to just "accept the defaults" and build from there – which saved us a ton of time.
The team at Vanta have also been amazing partners in helping us find and work with our auditors. They have our back from both the software side as well as the process side, and made it easy for us to navigate this process for the first time.

What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be a bit fiddly and can take more clicks to get where I'd like to go than I'd prefer. They continue to improve the UI frequently, but there is a lot of work left to be done.
I've also found that the Vendor Management / IT Asset Management side of the product is under-developed.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've used Vanta to achieve SOC 2 Type 1 compliance, manage our vendors, and manager our IT assets.
We're now also using Vanta to pursue our SOC 2 Type 2 compliance. We hope to use them for ISO 27001 and other certifications in the future.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are a few other products in this space, but Vanta is so excellent I haven't spent the time to investigate other options. I'd definitely select it again.
Simplified and Streamlined
What do you like best about the product?
We loved the policy generators to help us make sure we are covering all of our bases. And then the gap analysis reports for internal tracking and the option to share reports to prospective and existing clients have been truly valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
We use a few tools and services that don't integrate with Vanta (at least not yet). We would also love to see better integrated (or even Vanta created) annual required security training for our employees.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We originally signed up with Vanta so that we could help ensure we were following best practices and answering all of the vendor questionnaires that our customers and potential customers send us. We hope to complete our first SOC 2 audit and certification process in the near future as well. Vanta has definitely helped with trust from customers and fulfilling many of their requirements.
