Thanks to Vanta Origin was able to become SOC2 certified very fast
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta doesn't let us forget about security issues. They are alerting us all the time about things that should be improved, new hires that didn't go through the security training, containers with vulnerabilities, repositories without owners or descriptions, and so on. All those problems happen frequently, and having a tool that tells us when we are doing something wrong is amazing. It also offers us seamless integration with AWS, allowing us to bulk tag our resources, dramatically reducing the manual job there.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is a bit hard to maintain everything up to date there. The container vulnerability feature is a bit misleading. There are issues reported there that cannot be fixed because there is not a new image for that, so we cannot address the problem, and we have to ignore the warning sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Vanta to help us becoming SOC2 and ISO27001 certified.

It provides a good platform to check compliance & vulnerability stuff management.

nothing as such. I do not see any drawbacks of this tool.

It’s very easy to use and comprehensive.

The Vanta agent has a few limitations, and needs to be flexible enough to not be intrusive.

We want to be aware of all security shortcomings for an upcoming audit. It excels at that!

Super helpful platform and white glove customer care
What do you like best about the product?
The customer success team is like no other. They make the SOC2 process significantly easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UX of the platform takes some getting used to and there are some workarounds you have to learn, but that comes with a new product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Need to get SOC2 certification without slowing down our relatively small team for a year.

Super easy to give out security reports for soc2, hipaa,etc

kind of lacks detail in key areas when being asked for detailed reportes

Knowing what needs to get done next. Really easy to share reports as well

What do you like best about the product?
The speed we were able to get to SOC2 compliance. We had a few deals in the pipeline that required SOC2 and we would never have closed them without Vanta!
