Makes HIPAA compliance easier than I could have imagined
What do you like best about the product?
As an Engineering leader, Vanta makes it easy to figure out which Tests I need to take action on, why they're important, and exactly how to fix them. It really goes above and beyond.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's really nothing I can say that I dislike about Vanta.

Makes sense of the chaos
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta keeps everything clear and organized in the ever-changing world of compliance. I love how visual it is and how it lets you focus on taking smaller bites out of compliance without feeling overwhelmed. I feel I can trust Vanta (and their audit partners) to keep abreast of the latest demands of all of the various compliance frameworks. That alone is worth it to me (but it does lots of other great stuff too)! I also like how easily it integrates with Google's Enterprise Suite.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only real downside I can think of is the cost. We're a small-ish company, and although I'd love to buy all of Vanta's features, frameworks, and such, we've had to pick and choose because of the price point. I absolutely think it's worth it, but some aspects feel a little out of reach for our current budget.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping organized and abreast of the ever-changing world of compliance and regulations.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Need to get SOC2 compliant to have access to larger enterprise deals. We have succeeded with Vanta in a reasonable time frame.
Easy to use platform for Security and compliance.
What do you like best about the product?
I love using Vanta. It helps us track what we need to do for security and compliance. It is simple to use and I get updates when things need to be worked on. Our team uses it to ensure proper on boarding and offboarding. We use it daily. Great customer support.

Everything thus far is great! At the moment no feedback.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Help track our audits, secuirty and compliance .
Initially seems expensive, but the savings in time and money are massive
What do you like best about the product?
The organisation of all of my certification control data, the integrations to AWS, Google Workspace etc to automate a lot of the data collection, and the huge pool of personalisable templates. Then the pool of auditors who know Vanta and can give far more reasonably priced audits due to the huge time saving for them. I've been able to do our ISO 27001 certification in FAR less time than I otherwise would have been able to.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial onboarding process is a little prescriptive and still shows as not complete even though I've completed three certifications using Vanta now. Some of the templates have some issues and I haven't heard back from my reporting these problems. But overall not much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're a small startup with limited resources and money, and we were quoted a very large figure of money to add to our existing PCI DSS certification ISO 27001 and SOC 2. For less than the cost of just the gap analysis from one provider, we've paid for all certifications and ongoing usage of Vanta. I actually couldn't imagine handling compliance without it now.
A really useful tool
What do you like best about the product?
It's a really need compliance tool, clearly setting out the tasks that need completing to attest compliance. The Trust Center is a valuable add-on to demonstrate our commitment to compliance to customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the functionalities are not user friendly. E.g. rolling out training was buried in the personnel default group settings

We get asked a lot of questions about our security and privacy compliance from customers. Vanta has enabled us to achieve compliance and demonstrate it with ease.
Compliance aggregation simplified
What do you like best about the product?
The vast range of vendor products that Vanta has built integrations with. The dashboard and UI is incredibly straight forward. Very well built product. Easy for our ops and IT teams to implement.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing is not transparent. When signing up to SaaS platforms or cloud vendors, pricing transparency makes things move a lot faster.

Ensuring our business meets compliance standards with automated updates and notifications.
Simplified our SOC2 dramatically
What do you like best about the product?
It has great integrations with many of our key providers that makes completing SOC2 tests way easier. The interface is relatively straightforward and the setup didn't take too long.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not that intuitive to navigate the different menus and the terminology. It takes some time to learn.

We use Vanta to manage our SOC 2 type 1 and type 2 process. It shows how we are controlling for risks across our business and systems.

Vanta provides a robust GRC platform that excels at aggregating data and information across various systems, making it particularly well-suited for small and mid-sized businesses.**
The platform integrates seamlessly with existing systems, enabling efficient data collection, task management, and tracking. One of the standout features is its audit automation capabilities, which have significantly reduced the time required to implement audit processes and manage audit schedules.
Additionally, the questionnaire automation functionality is highly effective. The user-friendly interface simplifies the process of collecting, tracking, and maintaining questionnaires and associated knowledge bases. After evaluating several solutions for questionnaire automation, I’ve found Vanta to deliver some of the most impressive results in this area.
Vanta also offers valuable tools for risk management and for managing user onboarding and offboarding processes, including security awareness components. For organisations starting from scratch, Vanta provides a solid foundation for establishing effective compliance and security practices.

- There are still a few bugs present in the system. While most are not critical, there is one in the Audit module that I consider to be quite significant. That said, all bugs and improvement suggestions I've submitted to our account manager have been logged, and some have already been addressed.
- Certain automated tests for cloud environments (AWS and GCP) seem somewhat redundant. As a result, meeting Vanta's compliance checks requires additional effort in modifying infrastructure, or alternatively, dismissing the check — which isn't an ideal solution.
- The UI/UX could be improved, particularly in the Personnel module. Enhancements in this area would make the platform significantly more user-friendly.
- Certain automated tests for cloud environments (AWS and GCP) seem somewhat redundant. As a result, meeting Vanta's compliance checks requires additional effort in modifying infrastructure, or alternatively, dismissing the check — which isn't an ideal solution.
