Decent platform but a victim of more comprehensive solutions
What do you like best about the product?
I like the speed and simplicity of the platform. The web apps work well and sharing links is seamless. Rolling the platform out is just a matter of adding users in your system which can easily be done by an administrator.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox's major downfall is that most buyers likely already pay for Google workspace of Microsoft 365, meaning they are inherently doubling up on a platform that they already have. Until Dropbox can expand their suite of products to be a true competitor to those platforms, they will always be at a disadvantage.
The only other gripe I have is that I find selective sync to be a frustrating experience that needs to be continually updated as new files and folders are added. It would be nice to have an option to not sync new files by default.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a construction company with remote teams in various locations. We also work extensively with subcontractors and consulting teams. Being able to access files quickly across multiple locations is critical. Dropbox largely solves this issue.

What do you dislike about the product?
Servers ,more is always a plus ,I can't stress how much I hear that
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organized in a way that was not reachable unless more than one application
Not what it once was
What do you like best about the product?
It's still a mostly convenient way to share files.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has become bloatware. The app is slow, sluggish, often makes the fans of my MacBook spin. I recently just suddenly got pushed over my file limit without doing anything and I wasn't even able to *delete files* without signing up to a new subscription. This kind of customer-hostility is why I no longer recommend Dropbox to my friends.

Sharing files across devices.
Simple use and wide access

The program is easy to access and get my files shared by other programs. I use it a lot for getting files from websites that share files securely and it is very simple. The mobile app makes using it very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you don't have an account, you are locked out of other methods of file sharing in many cases.
