Industry leader in identity management
What do you like best about the product?
Fully featured identity management solution. Complete and total control of role-based access configuration. Full suite of integrated 3rd party tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting in quick contact with support technicians can be difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Auth0 has allowed us to offload all single sign on authorization / authentication, allowing our development team to focus on building our core platform.
Very complete platform to handle user authentication, can scale from startup to enterprise needs.
What do you like best about the product?
The security aspects and implementation are rock solid.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation is awful, and there's many bugs in the SDKs they provide (mostly the ones that involve UI, the user experience is terrible). Stay away from it as much as you can, and you'll have a great experience with Auth0.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Implementing user identity and access control is hard to get right, and achieving compliance can become expensive. We've got both benefits from Auth0.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it as a platform only, don't rely on their UI/SDK too much. Their strength really lies in providing identity and access control with a solid implementation of the industry standards, as well as support compliance for systems.
Seamless Integration
What do you like best about the product?
My team and I use Auth0 to facilitate a unified login across all our internal tools and external software. Unlike its biggest competitor, Okta, I particularly like that Auth0 provides a seamless integration to nearly every stack possible, while Okta limits you to a much more narrow stack.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing model is a bit confusing and can take a little bit to understand. The dashboard is also a bit clumsy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our staff had different login credentials across 8+ different platforms. On top of the pre-existing learning curve of using the software, the need to log in individually to each service made it even more difficult to onboard new team members.
Very responsive, provide good documentations and API's
What do you like best about the product?
Documentation and responsivness. Ease of onboarding applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't start an Auth0 session from outside of the universal login. Low rate control on management API.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Modernization and the standardizing of the autenthication/authorization flow. Contact method verification. SSO cross domains. Change password is now a more secure flow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go all in on the OIDC flows including the universal login- It will make your life easier.
Good and directy contact
What do you like best about the product?
The short term interaction options and emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there were actions missed in the conference call
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing Customer access to our products.
Auth0 - Auth for your apps
What do you like best about the product?
Powerful and simple. We did alot of pocs and thought around what would work best to solve our identity problems for our apps. Auth0 came out #1.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest i have no blaring issues with Auth0. I would love to use it internally for our employees but honestly its really designed for application and developer use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was not on the implementation team but the problem to be solved was to allow authentication to our app via a customers idp. Auth0 solved this.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the support. They are there to assist
The most flexible authentication as a service provider available
What do you like best about the product?
Auth0 provides quick and painless integration into almost all major identity providers. Setting up Auth0 is quick and easy to do. Auth0 rules provide a dynamic mechanism to change the functionality of the auth system. Delegated admin dashboard customization allows for multiple complex use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inflexibility in the configuration of Apple mobile metadata. Inability to specify a login session should use HTTP session cookies (instead of long lived cookies) which is a security hole when providing authentication for applications that may be used on public terminals. No programmatic mechanism to create a new tenant nor install extensions (all must be done through the Auth0 Management UI).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Migration from legacy user store to cloud based. Integration with social identity providers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Auth0 can quickly be used to provide sign on functionality to a new or existing product.
Very good product
What do you like best about the product?
You can set up the tool right away, to implement it fast
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some corner cases not working, and after the notification, the ticket was filed but there are not any action plan or fix estimation. Also each login uses one token, by default, and the team did not assesed the team very well, on advicing them to make them perdurable for reutilization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The credit card login. The ammount of users it can handle is very good and the customization level is excellent.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ask for perdurable tokens to the team instead of letting the default configuration.
Seamless integration, great documentation
What do you like best about the product?
Great error messages! Helpful and precise, often the possible solution is included alongside direct link to a proper place in settings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some functionality is missing from Java SDK
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Auth0 allows us to stop worrying about incorrectly authenticated or authorized users.
