Game Changing, Money Saving Solution for Automation
What do you like best about the product?
I love everything about this software. We have reduced the number of hours needed for manual or tedious tasks saving us tens of thousands of dollars in labor each year. This software more than pays for itself in the hours we save and allows our employees to focus on higher level, less repetitive tasks.
We currently utilize GoAnywhere MFT, Secure Folders, Secure Mail and Secure Forms. It does EVERYTHING. We read and write Excel files, bounce data against or get data from our SQL database, pick files up from vendor FTPs, deliver files through Secure Folders to to FTP, have customer facing and internal only web forms to save on paperwork, and countless scheduled jobs to both reduce mid-day SQL overhead and automate several previously extremely tedious, manual tasks and exports.
In short - I happened to stumble across this software at my former company and it was the first purchase I asked for when I came to my new company. Everyone involved is 100% on board and has 0 regrets for this investment. It's also very affordable! It pays for itself in a few months if not sooner if you utilize it as soon as you get it installed.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only complaint I have thus far is no support for PDF output, but it's not a deal breaker in the slightest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefits:
1) Hundreds of labor hours per year saved
2) Automation of time intensive tasks and data imports/exports
3) Our vendors have praised the reduction in paperwork through use of web forms and our file portal
4) Vast reduction in human error through use of workflows to validate data submission and output
5) The ability for the whole company to say something they want to automate and for me to be able to do it with relative ease
Current Uses/Problems Solved:
1) Build a file portal that allows for weekly/monthly reports to be submitted by our vendor base - when needed, scans each file for accuracy and generates a success email or detailed error report to ensure data being submitted is clean and validated
2) Scheduled countless tasks to run large SQL file exports and file uploads in off hours to reduce mid-day SQL overhead issues
3) Mass move and rename files with a CSV file and a few clicks
4) Replace SSRS reporting with easier to customize SQL queries and formatted Excel output
5) Reduced paperwork internally and from vendors by replacing paper forms with GA Secure Forms which can trigger actions to notify via email and/or update an SQL database once submitted (validates data submitted as well)
6) Auto fetches files from various sources and places in a central repository so no files or reports are ever missed
7) Perform various database and other background updates based to reduce the need for a human to perform the same, tedious updates and risk human error

GoAnywhere MFT - Way more than just FTP software
What do you like best about the product?
We originally purchased GoAnywhere to give us a more secure FTP server. While our specific need was to offer our business partners and vendors secure data transmission via SFTP, we were very pleased to know that GoAnywhere supports a number of additional secure file transfer protocols, including FTPS, HTTPS, and GoAnywhere Secure Mail (with an optional Outlook plugin).
GoAnywhere not only has "service" support, for services like HTTPS, SFTP, etc., it also supports workflow project creation. After our initial implementation of our services, we began to incorporate a number of very flexible advanced workflow projects. These projects utilize a number of GoAnywhere built-in components, including zip/unzip, PGP encryption/decryption, SFTP (GET, PUT, DELETE, LIST, etc.), SQL, email, job control, process loops, and external program calls. There are additional components (like REST and SOAP Web Services) that we have not even begun to use.
GoAnywhere is just an all-around fantastic product.

What do you dislike about the product?
We are really quite pleased with GoAnywhere's capabilities to solve our business problems. I have had only one minor issue where I have not received resolution (yet). GoAnywhere offers the capability to connect to different types of servers and network shares. I have been able to establish a connection from our production server to a specific Windows Server via a Network Share resource, but attempts to transfer files from the production server to Windows Server via a GoAnywhere project are failing. Support has not been able to replicate the issue. It could be operator error on my part, or it could be that I am trying to do something that is better suited for GoAnywhere Agents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In short, PCI compliance. Our previous secure FTP software vendor was not planning on updating required security protocols, so we were forced to select a different secure FTP software vendor. The benefit we received was much more than what we were looking for. We have since been able to replace other software products because of the advanced workflow capabilities built into GoAnywhere MFT.

Anyone who has a business or regulatory need for secure file transmission should consider GoAnywhere MFT.

What do you like best about the product?
GoAnywhere software is the most stable and easy maintenance software I ever encountered.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much to complain. It comes as a software package we done a minor customization converting txt log file to xml for system integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used the software to transfer big content files internally and externally. It equiped with lots of administration tools and functions suitable for many situations to meet specific requirements.

GoAnywhere MFT
What do you like best about the product?
Effective product that solves our need to transfer large files to multiple clients fast and secure. Very easy to develop projects that handle data from our AS400 system. The ability to add various modules is great as our needs grow. GoAnywhere MFT is extremely flexible and reliable. Very standard and straightforward install. Excellent customer support representatives. I have recently entered a new position as a Systems Administrator and I have had to lean on heir customer support several times with questions. They're always been extremely helpful and beyond. I never hesitate to pick up the phone or use their live help feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
I truly can't find anything that I don't like about the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to have to perform a lot of manual operations in order to format data and then send files via Email or manual FTP. Now many of those operations are accomplished with GoAnywhere MFT.
Go Anywhere
What do you like best about the product?
It works. It always works. We have never had a problem from the day it was installed. Updates are a breeze. New functions are being added all the time. Integration with IBM i native functions is outstanding.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike. One of the best products I have ever worked with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do data transfers with dozens of different services and GoAnywhere is used for all of them. Beats writing custom code.
Best overall software in its class.
What do you like best about the product?
The latest version of MFT is the most robust version to date. Linoma is constantly making enhancements to meet the demanding security challenges. The support staff is by far one of the best in the business.
What do you dislike about the product?
None we absolutely love the product. It just runs and we never had an issue.

Automated reporting with file translation. Secure file transfer to our remote sties
Use GA daily. Essential part of our workflow.

Can be difficult to upgrade if you don't have a experienced system admin.
