SnapLogic first hands on review
What do you like best about the product?
The cloud based architect which allows to integrate between multiple systems (ERPs).The connectors to S3 buckets and even to on-prem machines are really a value add. The feature to work with REST APIs are additional advantage
What do you dislike about the product?
UI to be more user friendly. Errors faced are more generic. It would be more helpful if the errors when validated are more specific. Working with any parsers(CSV parser) might be sometimes very tricky. The complete set of file operations could have been improved a bit more.
The Dashboard feature can see a lot of improvements. The import feature will not always work. It is lot of a tricky thing on how to import a snap designed under some one else into your workspace. A lot of times the "shared projects " did not work for me. Tried sharing few of the snaps and pipes developed with the team using the sharing feature but it never worked for me. The validation is another tricky things. The stored procedure error reporting could have improved more. There is no way to skip error rows and continue processing and then report the error out rows . For every output file to be written there should be a parser and to translate the values into .

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data import using JSON , CSV and flat file from a third party to SIS system. We can give access to particular user and once the snap is developed and tested, user can do the import on their own.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Support is wonderful . This is really a wonderful tool with lot of features to use and explore. This product can evolve more over a period of time.

Easy Lightweight and Robust ETL on the cloud
What do you like best about the product?
The way its cloud hosted and how easy to work with. Also the out of box snaps that helps in building almost 80% of business needs and the ease of creating our own snaps for complex problems
What do you dislike about the product?
error msgs are very cryptic and takes longer to understand the actual issue

We are using Snaplogic for all our integrations with our Cloud CRM and other 3rd party applications

Its an easy to use and robust platform for all your integration needs
Very good data integration tool and terrific REST API creators!
What do you like best about the product?
1. Reducing huge effort of coding! We can translate our logic into the pipeline very easily even if coding is required sometimes.
2. Simply creating REST API! We can transform any pipeline into the REST API which is terrific!
3. No mind blowing with OAuth! We can connect to many platforms without exhausted effort to deal with OAuth.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. Script snap using python looks incomplete as it could not fully utilizing all capabilities of python. (Perhaps, because of using jython?) Also, it is hard to debug when the snap throws some error according to the logic excepts syntax error.
2. Script snap using javascript could not use ES6 syntax. If Snaplogic allows ES6, it could be touching with many developers who become familiar with javascript right now.
3. Hard to deal with some REST API with pagination! Currently, Snaplogic is very good with any simply API, but when we have to call API again and again with some pagination value, we have to create the new pipeline which only call that API before using it via Pipeline Execution snap. We think that approach could make the whole logic looks so complex and increase difficulty for developers to validate it.

It is pretty easy to build integrations using Snap Logic

The versatility of it, supporting the most common of data source or targets

The version manager, is not very usable or intuitive

Integration problems, also algorithms for very specific situations, it feels very intuitive and it's great be able to use all its tools without having to know how it's working

low code to design and development. like smart ai lets i choose the modules i want to use.

i got problem about log and ultra task must upload to Oregon control plane. a few mounth i got internation network loss more than 10 mins and then groudplex not response and restart. a lot of interfaces required 24 hour availability. it's pain about unplan downtime for us. remark: our groundplex in Bkk, TH (APAC Zone)

File Transfers, connecting enterprise applications. Data massaging, etc.. Its a easy to use tool that can help you to manage your data in very user friendly manner

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to adapt, Professional Support is very helpful, Easily integrate with most of the available on-premise or cloud technologies, low or no code

The help on errors are not easily available in google, difficult to debug, some of the errors are not the logical ones
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrating with different on-premise or on-cloud tools to do some R&D on health sector data. It helps in easy integration and faster execution, easy to showcase to non-technical people and get their inputs as well. Ability to have most of the tasks done using this tool itself.
Snaplogic is reliable, easy to use, and performant! Web UI could be faster, but I love snaplogic!

- Web UI is a but clunky/slow (it's gotten a little better the past couple years)
