The RHEL 7 ELS offering provides access to security patches and updates after June 30, 2024. This offering is intended for customers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 VMs in AWS and want to continue to receive security patches and updates for those VMs beyond the RHEL 7 end of maintenance date (June 30, 2024). The cost of this offering is based on the number of virtual CPUs (vCPUs) used per hour. For more information: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Maintenance Policy .
Compared to previous major releases, Extended Life Cycle Support (ELS) for RHEL 7 expands the scope of security fixes by including updates that address Important Common Vulnerabilities and Exceptions (CVEs). It also includes maintenance for RHEL for SAP Solutions (including S4/HANA) and RHEL High Availability and Resilient Storage add-ons.

- RHEL VMs must be on v7.9 to use RHEL 7 ELS
- RHEL 7 ELS will be available through June 30, 2028
- To enable accurate metering and billing, please ensure that every AWS account containing a RHEL 7 VM that will be using ELS is subscribed to this offering

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 ELS delivers certain Red Hat defined Critical and Important security fixes and selected (at Red Hat's discretion) urgent priority bug fixes and troubleshooting for the last minor release (RHEL 7.9). Previously released bug fixes (RHBAs), security errata (RHSAs), and product enhancements (RHEAs) will continue to be available.

Terrible
This is the worst product I ever used in AWS. Has anybody from Red Hat tried to register it? Random errors on forms, registrations, login page and overall complicated setup.
